India

In the south of India, in the Kerala region, lies a prolific land with a long tradition of spice trade: the Idukki district. With an altitude from 700 to 1000 m and characterized by abundant rainfall, the hilly territory of Idukki is an ideal place for growing cocoa, which gives rise to a special product. In fact, cocoa grows together with fruit trees such as coconut, papaya, mango and banana, and spices such as black pepper, nutmeg and cardamom that give it a rich aromatic profile.
